I never hear an explanation of ” one is taken and one is left”. Seems that isn’t important for an explanation, Isn’t everything that Yeshua says important.

Thanks for asking the question! Here is the verse in question:
Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Luke 17:35.
In mainstream Christianity, this verse has been interpreted that this is a reference to the “rapture”. The one “taken” is raptured out to be with the LORD and the one left behind will go through the tribulation.
Here is a different interpretation: the one “taken” is going to a place of judgment. In the same way that those who were “taken” and swept away in the flood in the days of Noah. Here are two cross reference scriptures that expand upon this verse:

“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Matthew 24:27-28
The disciples ask Yeshua, in effect, where will those who are “taken” be taken to? Where are they going? Here is how Yeshua answered them:
And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?” So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.” Luke 17:37

We can interpret scripture with scripture. A cross reference to this verse comes from Ezekiel 39:4 and also Ezekiel 39:17-20. The context of these verses is this is the Gog/Magog war. The LORD is preparing a table where the eagles and vultures will be feasting on the flesh of kings and wicked men:

“You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Ezek 39:4

“And as for you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Speak to every sort of bird and to every beast of the field:

      “Assemble yourselves and come;
Gather together from all sides to My sacrificial meal
Which I am sacrificing for you,
A great sacrificial meal on the mountains of Israel,
That you may eat flesh and drink blood.
You shall eat the flesh of the mighty,
Drink the blood of the princes of the earth,
      Of rams and lambs,
      Of goats and bulls,
All of them fatlings of Bashan.
You shall eat fat till you are full,
And drink blood till you are drunk,
      At My sacrificial meal
Which I am sacrificing for you.
You shall be filled at My table
      With horses and riders,
      With mighty men
And with all the men of war,” says the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 39:17-20

So, perhaps those who are “taken” are brought to this final battle field where they become food for the birds.
Those who “remain” are in the ark of safety, so to speak, and are under the covering and protection of the Messiah.
